Simple, clear rental with no hidden fees

OZ Cars is a car rental agency based in Sahloul, Sousse, operating across the country. Our principle is simple: the quoted rate is the rate you pay, our vehicles are recent and maintained in house, and clear conditions stated upfront. Book online in two minutes, an advisor confirms your request, and we deliver the car where and when you agreed.

  • 300 km included per day throughout Tunisia.
  • Insurance and 24/7 roadside assistance included in every rental.
  • Free delivery at our agency, your hotel, your address or the airport.
  • No booking fees and no hidden extras.

Where to rent: cities and airports we serve

We cover the main cities of the Sahel and Greater Tunis, plus the three international airports our customers use most. Wherever you land, an agent is waiting at the terminal exit.

  • Car rental in Sousse, Hammam Sousse and Port El Kantaoui.
  • Car rental in Tunis, from downtown to Les Berges du Lac and La Marsa.
  • Car rental in Monastir and the surrounding area.
  • Enfidha-Hammamet airport, Monastir airport and Tunis-Carthage airport.

Rates and discounts by rental duration

Our prices are degressive: the longer the rental, the lower the daily rate. Each category matches a specific use, and insurance and 300 km included per day are always included.

  • City car: from 90 DT per day, ideal in town and on a budget.
  • Compact and sedan: from 120 DT per day, for more space and comfort.
  • SUV: from 180 DT per day, for families, luggage and long distances.
  • Long-term rental from one month: monthly rate on quote, VAT invoicing for businesses.

Regular customers and businesses: benefits that last

Many of our customers come back season after season, and a large share of our business comes from Tunisian companies. We would rather reward that loyalty than run one-off promotions: from your second rental onwards, your terms improve automatically.

  • Preferential rates from your second rental, with no card and no subscription.
  • Reduced deposit for regular customers, waived for established business accounts.
  • Priority on availability in high season and on your preferred category.
  • Business account: dedicated contact and consolidated monthly invoicing with VAT.

Book in three steps

Booking is entirely online, with no upfront online payment.

  • Choose your dates, times and pick-up location.
  • Select the vehicle that fits your trip from our fleet.
  • Enter your details: an advisor confirms your booking quickly.
  • Payment is made at the agency when the keys are handed over.

Practical advice

Driving in Tunisia: what to know before you rent

Planning your trip and wondering what driving is like here? Below is the essential information, gathered by our team from the questions our customers ask most often before setting off.

Driving licence and documents

Your national licence is enough for a tourist stay, provided it is valid and was issued more than a year ago. An international permit is not required, but we recommend one if your licence uses a non-Latin alphabet. Always carry your licence, ID and rental agreement: these are the three documents requested at roadside checks.

Road conditions and journey times

The network linking Sousse to the main cities is in good condition, particularly the A1 motorway towards Tunis and Sfax. Secondary roads across the Sahel are usable but narrower, with occasional unmarked speed bumps at village entrances. Allow extra time: 45 minutes from Sousse to Enfidha airport, 30 minutes to Monastir, around two hours to Tunis.

Parking in Sahel towns

In Sousse, parking in the centre and near the medina is difficult at busy times. Use supervised car parks: they are inexpensive and far safer than street parking. In Port El Kantaoui and the hotel districts, parking is generally free and easy. This is another reason a city car remains the best choice for an urban stay.

Fuel and petrol stations

Stations are plentiful along main roads and in every Sahel town. Payment is usually in cash, so carry dinars. Our cars are delivered with a full tank and must be returned the same way — the simplest and most transparent rule, with no refuelling charges on return.

Driving style and local habits

Traffic is denser and more spontaneous than in most European countries, especially around markets and roundabouts. Drive defensively, keep your distance and anticipate lane changes without indicators. Speed limits are 50 km/h in towns, 90 km/h on open roads and 110 km/h on motorways. The permitted blood alcohol level is zero.
